Feasting, Flowers & Songs
Join us on August 9th for an evening of music and feasting amongst the flowers at Vibrant Valley Farm. This collaborative experience will feature Chef Shauna Galante of Secret Language, produce and flowers from Vibrant Valley Farm, and artists Anna Tivel & Jeffrey Martin.
To celebrate the bounty of summer produce at its peak, this feast will showcase many items grown right at Vibrant Valley Farm. Enjoy multiple courses prepared thoughtfully and imaginatively with the intention of stoking full-body happiness. Chef Shauna Galante cooks from a place of reverence for plant food in its freshest and most fleeting states, and believes wholeheartedly in the healing powers of a good meal, where vegetables take center stage, and nutrition is as considered as flavor, setting, season and conviviality.
Paired with this delicate and thoughtful feast is the lyric drive folk music of Anna Tivel and Jeffrey Martin. These talented artists possess separate accolades for their music but when combined are an “exquisite balance of the quotidian and the sublime with imagery that’s deeply poetic.” - NPR. Somewhere deep in the middle of a good story, a simple and powerful thing happens. You begin to feel seen. Anna and Jeffrey reach for that thread of understanding with their music, that moment of recognition, of shared experience.
We are honored to host this experience at Vibrant Valley Farm, and weave the fruits of their labor into the night. Vibrant Valley farm is made up of a group of dedicated farmers and passionate educators committed to connecting the world of growing food with the greater community. From indigo to flowers to vegetables, they are making waves in the farming world and we are excited to be along for the ride.
Serenade is a pop-up series featuring chefs and musicians in unique settings to create a sensory experience unlike anything else. Equal focus is placed on both the chefs and musicians to break down barriers and foster participation and community. We look forward to Serenading you soon.
